ST. SOFIA CATHEDRAL - St. Sofia Cathedral is the world famous historical and architectural monument of the first half of the 11th century. The name of the cathedral comes from Greek word "sofia", which means "wisdom". Built in the times of Yaroslav Mudry, the cathedral served as a social, political and cultural center of Kievan Rus. Yaroslav Mudry's ruling was the time when art, education and culture prospered. Nowadays the complex remains a museum of Ukraine's Christianity, with most of its visitors being tourists. On 21 August 2007, the Saint Sophia Cathedral was named one of the Seven Wonders of Ukraine, based on a voting by experts and the internet community.

THE CHERNOBYL MUSEUM - Gives an amazing insight into the tragic disaster. It houses an extensive collection of scale models, visual media, artifacts, and other representational items designed to educate the public about many aspects of the Chernobyl disaster. Several exhibits depict the technical progression of the accident, and there are also many areas dedicated to the loss of life and cultural ramifications of the disaster. On April 26th, 1986 reactor number 4 of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant exploded, putting tons of radioactive material into the environment. Even though Chernobyl is situated 100 km north of Kiev, the radiation levels to be found now in Kiev city, are not much higher than any other European city (about +2mr to 4mr outside).

NATIONAL MUSEUM OF THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR - The museum exhibition devoted to the history of World War II, it is a priority in the Ukrainian theme, Ukraine's contribution to the victory over Nazism. In 16 halls of the museum's total area of 5000 m² deployed more than 15 thousand exhibits, including documents, personal belongings, weapons, photographs, banners, awards, letters, diaries, military equipment. It is one of the largest museums in Ukraine centered around the now famous 62-meter tall Motherland statue, which has become one of the best recognized landmarks of Kiev. The museum has been attended by over 21 million visitors from almost 200 countries.

KIEV-PECHERSK LAVRA CAVE MONASTERY WITH VISIT TO GOLD TREASURY MUSEUM - Kiev-Pechersk Lavra Cave Monastery founded three km south of where Kiev stood in 1051. Spread across wooded slopes above the Dnipro, it is a unique array of gold-domed churches, underground labyrinths lined with mummified monks, & elegant monastic buildings turned museums. Ukrainian Museum of Historical Treasures (Scythian Gold), situated on the territory of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra Monastery, has one the richest collections of golden articles in the FSU countries. The greater portion of the exhibits are archaeological finds, with the Scythian gold being a particularly valuable part of it. The gold pectoral decoration of the 4th century BC is the star of the collection.

ST. KIRILL CHURCH AND BABIY YAR MEMORIAL - St. Cyril's Monastery is a medieval monastery in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. The monastery contains the famous St. Cyril's Church, an important specimen of Kievan Rus' architecture of the 12th century, and combining elements of the 17th and 19th centuries. However, being largely Ukrainian Baroque on the outside, the church retains its original Kievan Rus' interior. Babiy Yar is a ruefully known place of grief over the victims of appalling genocide, anti-Semitism and World War II. The tragic events that took place in Babiy Yar became a subject of many art works, historical investigations, memoirs of those whose friends and relatives were slaughtered in Babiy Yar.
